Action Alert # 0 -- Support Formula Funding for Centers for Independent Living


History:

Two bills were introduced in the Illinois General Assembly this week that would provide Formula Funding for Centers for Independent Living:

Senate Bill 1478
House Bill 3833

Synopsis as Introduced:
Appropriates $14,562,000 from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Human Services for the purpose of providing formula funding to centers for independent living to provide core independent living services and other disability services in the State of Illinois. Effective July 1, 2005.

Actions Needed:

Contact your Senators and Representatives. Tell them you support Centers for Independent Living. Tell them you support Formula Funding for CIL’s. Tell them you support SB 1478 and HB 3833 and ask them to become a cosponsor.
